Carl Reid

BS, RRT, LRCP - chief operating officer

Carl Reid has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry.  He began the first 16 years of his career at the University of Michigan Health System as a clinician and later as Director of Respiratory Care.  Since that time he has been involved in medical product sales, distribution, biomedical service and equipment rental.  This experience has included product development and FDA approval at Specialized Products Inc., product distribution and equipment rental at Associated Medical Supply and later for Critical Care Concepts.   The combination of clinical, administrative and private sector business provides him a unique understanding of utilization and application of medical devices.

Carl’s role at Trace Medical is both operational as well as financial management.   Frequent dialogue with customers and caregivers allows Trace to continually support solutions that allows for optimum patient care with the latest in technology, affordably.

Carl is a Registered Respiratory Care Provider and he is licensed in the state of Michigan.  He earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Siena Heights University.


Mark Hauer

AASBMET, CBET -   General manager

Mark has over 30 years’ experience in the Bio-Medical Engineering field having held the positions of Bio-Medical Technician at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital, Bio-Medical Engineering Service Manager at American Hospital Equipment, Director of Bio-Medical Engineering at Associated Medical Supply and Director of Bio-Medical Engineering at Critical Care Concepts Great Lakes Region.

Since establishing Bio-One, Inc. in January of 2000, Mark has built and maintained a strong presence in the field by providing exceptional customer service to customers and through working with multiple manufacturers as an Authorized Service Center or as an independent service provider.

Mark received an AAS degree in Bio-Medical Engineering Technology from Schoolcraft College in May of 1989 and earned a certification from the International Certification Commission as a Certified Bio-Medical Engineering Technician in December of 1990.


Tom Kreps

BS, RRT, LRT- Sales Manager

With over 40 years of experience, Tom started his career as an on the job trainee (OJT) at Saratoga General Hospital Department of Respiratory Therapy.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy degree from the University of Detroit he was employed for 10 years at Henry Ford Hospital as a staff therapist, then the Respiratory Materials Coordinator.

From there he entered the sales industry selling both disposable and capital Respiratory Care/Anesthesia products for Vital Signs, Associated Medical/3Ci, Viasys, and Cardinal Health.

He also provided guidance to several companies regarding product development and training utilizing his Respiratory Care clinical experience.

Tom is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed in the State of Michigan (LRT). And is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), Michigan Society for Respiratory Care (MSRC), and is on the Macomb Community College Respiratory Therapy Advisory Committee.
